Description

Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe is planning to renew the track system in the Schlossplatz/ Alt Köpenick area in the Berlin borough of Treptow-Köpenick due to the worn condition of the tracks and the unfavourable alignment of the curved tracks. The plans include the renewal of the track triangle on the listed Schlossplatz Köpenick with a challenging alignment in terms of position and height. In addition, three individual tracks with a total length of 380 metres and a switch are to be renewed. Müggelheimer Straße, which is located in the construction area, is subject to heavy traffic.
Therefore, high demands are placed on the construction process and traffic management during the construction period.
